I am 11 weeks 3 days today. I have had horrible morning sickness since 6wks. I throw up 2-6 times a day. The worst isnt even the throwing up its the constant feeling of nausea, the headaches, and over heating. I hate being pregnant. I feel horrible saying that but its awful. I can't even function normally. This has got to end, I cant take it much more.

I'm 5w4d pregnant and have been extremely tired but no morning sickness as of yet. Sometimes I seem to feel slightly queasy but don't know if it is just in my mind. I have three children and had severe morning sickness with all three. I have had one miscarriage at 8 wee5ks and never felt sick at all. I am concerned about not feeling ill this time around again.

I am coming up on my 12th week and finally getting a little relief but ill take anything. I've been sick since 6 weeks and its been debilitating. I have tried everything and nothing worked. I was in bed for 2 weeks and after that I was only able to move to the couch. Can't take the nausea and vomiting anymore its been 2 long. I'm still weak and depressed longing for my life back. I'm luckey that I have help with my 2 yo but I need me back. I was sick with him for13 weeks but not nearly this bad. I hope we all get relief soon.

I'm going on 7 weeks and am constantly nauses. It doesn't help that I still smoke. I have not thrown up but it makes it hard for me to work. I don't want to get up. But I need the money because this was not planned and I can't work once I show so I need as much money as possible fast. It's hard but I know I have to get thru this. What helps me to not throw up ever is I keep my hands washed and whenever I feel nauses I smell the scent of the soap on my hands nd it will stop. I also have horrific cramping that got so bad I went to the hospital it comes on like every other hour and lasts for an hour. I don't know how to help that. I've only had like one period that could compare to these cramps and it makes me nauses from the pain.

Hi all-aim now 15 weeks and the nausea and vomiting/gagging have been as strong as ever. I just was told that I have hyperemesis and have been at home with an IV fluid drip and an infusion pump for zofran. I have read a bunch of the posts on here and encourage those of you who are having severe symptoms to talk to your doctor.

Im 12 weeks today and have felt sick the day my period was due and did not come s even before I found out I was pregnant , I have a 16 month old daughter and Im completely exhausted.

I vomit most days 3 or 4 times and the sickness lasts the whole day and even in the night. Im starting to become quite depressed, as Im living in Germany away from my family and friends and Im so tired of being sick.

Acupucnture worked amazingly well for me last pregancy so Im going to try it again but has taken me a while to find a good therapist in Germany. Will give an update if the acupuncture works this time. I tried ginger ,ginger tea and loliis and ginger beer but the taste makes me vomit, Im now trying hompeopathics and seems to help a little bit, actually i didint vomit once today. Just felt sick.

Its great to find a wesbite where everyone is going through the same thing I feel so alone in this sometimes, I vomit on the streets in bins , behind trees in front of my partners parents so embarrasing but Im getting used to it now. Im hoping it ends soon it only feel s like it is getting worse.

16 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Still have nausea, but not as bad as it was 2 weeks ago. My energy has come back; I'm not glued to the couch the way I was before. Still can't wait to celebrate when I have an appetite and the gagging stops completely. I hope I've done my tim, it seems way too long. Oh, to answer Sam's question...nausea can happen at any time.

I am 8wks 3days and tired of being pregnant. I never imagined pregnancy to be so hard! I am so glad when each day is over because I am hopefully closer to the day when I feel better. It gets really discouraging when you still have to function each day at work, etc., and you feel like you have a virus. This morning I just started to cry after dry heaving so hard I could not breathe. It honestly feels like this will not end. It is starting to make me extremely irritable because it seems there is no relief and if one more person tells me to eat small meals every 2 hours I will punch them in the face! Come on, like I have not heard or read that yet. (sorry, minor outburst) I have eaten the crackers, ginger, peppermint tea. I am on Zofran. All I want to do is go home and lie on my couch all day every day. I am tired of eating food. I hate food right now. If I do not eat it I get sick and if I do eat it I get sick. I am really glad I can vent on here because I honestly feel bad for complaining. I am very thankful to be pregnant, but this is awful. I do not understand how anyone can enjoy being pregnant. Actually, if I met some smiley pregnant person right now I would probably want punch them. :)

Hi everyone,
I too had morning sickness until i was 16 weeks and now at 24 weeks it is back! This pregnancy is 10x worse then my first. My doctor prescribed me maxolon tablets, there the safest drug to take and work wonders as long as u can keep it down for half hour to kick in. I highly recommend it as getting on with life, work, kids etc is not fun when your constantly 'hugging the toilet'.

Hi, i'm 14 pregnant with my first. feel nauseous all the time (especially at night)but have not been sick. Things that have helped include eating small meals/snacks regualrly (rather than 3 big meals)and peppermint tea. Hiwever i've read that nausea is a sign of a healthy prepgnancy- let's hope so. good luck all x

This is my 4th pregnancy. I am 11 weeks pregnant. I have been sick with both my previous girl pregnancies but not my boy. So I assume I am having another girl because I feel so awful. Constant nausea and vomiting about 3 times per day. No food (or drink) is appealing to me. I try to keep down whatever I can at the particular moment. At one moment it may be a bagel, the next it may be fruit. I have tried ginger, crackers, sea bands, you name it I have tried it. I have even tried Zofran but find it makes me feel so much worse when it wears off and if I take it too frequently it stops working altogether. The worst part of it is that I have a full time job (as a doctor) and have to work nights and weekends, which is becoming excrutiatingly difficult. The only comforting thing that I can offer is that it is temporary and being a mom is for forever. No matter how awful I feel and no matter how much I feel like I am losing control of my normally happy daily life, I know that soon (hopefully really soon) I will feel better and welcome a happy and healthy baby (sure to be) girl.

here are some tips to make your morning sickness a little easier.
*try cutting a citrus fruit to your taste in half & sniffing it.
*have something to eat before you get out of bed always.
*peppermint or lemon gum & hard boiled lollies in these flavours are good to help get that horrible taste out of your mouth.
*getting some sun on your skin,i dont mean sun baking but just relaxing in the sun helps to lift your mood a bit.
*freeze ginger tea or lemonade or you can even mix them.freeze them into cubes or iceblock moulds to suck on.
*believe it or not a walk can help to, just walk at your own pace. sometimes getting out of the house without having to socilise can feel nice.
*listening to your favourite songs helps to perk you up a bit or watch a comedy.
these are just a few things that have helped me,im currently 6 weeks into my third pregnancy and have been the same through each one. i always say if you can get extra help from your mum or friend etc to help once a week to do some house work or if you have other children to get them to watch them for the day.i know it can get really hard and depressing at times but try to stay positive, somedays will be harder to do so but it does help.

I am on my 3rd pregnancy going into week 11. Sick since week 5.
I'm on Zofran which makes it slightly more tolerable but I still throw up 2-5 times a day and feel queasy from the moment I get up until bed! I can barely go into the kitchen-everything in there disgusts me; we've been eating a lot of take out. Things that help? Accupuncture 2X wk, preggie drops, saltines, soda (which I never drink, mouthwash and lots of rest (the couch is my best friend. Thank god I'm not working right now (I feel lucky). I know it will pass from my past experience, but it's soooooo gross, exhausting and it's easy to get really down. I make an effort everyday to try and stay positive!

Hi Everyone:) I am 12 wks pregnant. I have very gross pregnancy sickness - feeling sick from the moment I wake till the time I go to sleep. I have been sick since 6 wks. I have a four year old girl who is desperate for my full attention which I am just not able to give. I was sick with her too but not quite as bad for five months. The smells I cannot STAND are: house smells ( I open all the windows up even though it is winter)-my partner thinks I'm mad for that. I hate showers as the warm air is horrible. I don't like cold or hot touch. I don't like meat being cooked- but can eat it if I am out and haven't had to smell it cooking. I make my partner shower AS SOON as he gets home because I can even smell him and it can make me vomit. All the heaters have to be off apart from our lounge gas heater that is fluted. The list does go on:)
If I don't eat at least every two hours I will vomit. So I make myself eat all the time. I can only tolerate milk drinks, tangy juice (like grapefruit juice)and fizzy lemonade. Can't drink water or eat vegies only fruit. I pray there is only 4 more weeks of this torture as I am feeling down and tired. We have to all hang on in there and keep talking together and perhaps ONE day there WILL be a cure!!! Love to all.xoxox.

Hi all- I am 13 weeks 4 days with severe nausea and a combination of gagging up or vomiting. Mine started at 6 weeks on the dot. I am on zofran but have still lost a few pounds. Have been in the hospital twice for iv fluids bec of dehydration. What doesn't work for me: Ginger, mint, saltines, citrus, water, iced drinks. Generally, carbs tend to have partially stayed down. I joke to my friends that I am on the anti-atkins diet! I am really hoping this ends in another week or so, but not holding my breath.

Hello, i can sympathize with all of you ladies. I too am suffering... i am 9 weeks, 5 days with my second baby and having a hard time. I don't feel too bad in the morning... the nausea hits me hard though around noon and the rest of the day is a struggle to care for my 2 year old son. I call it all day sickness... not morning sickness. i don't remember feeling this ill with my first. i am hoping that this passes soon because i am sick of being sick. on top of this, i have had the flu all week good luck to all of you. hope you feel better soon

I could really use some advice from some of you wise women out there - have horrific MS, am in week 9 and had it since about week 6. I am sick, low and generally depleted. For financial reasons have had to go and stay with my mother - my husband is a lot younger than me and looking for new job. The trouble is my mother is a bitch and can't help but bully me and give me stress. I feel stuck here for the moment for financial reasons but would give anything not to be....sorry to blab on, just feel so low

when i was pregnant the first time 4 years ago, i swore i would never get pregnant again, but you soon change your mind until the morning sickness creeps on then you remember why you swore youd never do it again. a bit like the morning after a drink you have the headache and the upset stomach but you never learn. ive barely managed to get out my bed and im only 10 weeks, but i have been eating non stop and havent been sick, though sometimes i wish i would be sick. just remember everybody feeling like utter death means that everything is ok with your baby. you would be worried if you felt fine, so remember you feel like death now, but when you hold that tiny baby that you created from scratch youll forget all the sickness, and will be very proud of yourselfs xxxx

I'm 20 weeks and just curious if anyone else feels extreme fatigue, dizziness and weakness all the time? I fainted a few weeks ago while out in public. I feel like I'm going to anytime I go out so I only go when someone is with me and only for a small period of time. I usually have to go sit in the car though cause I feel like I'm going to pass out. I am eating plenty and always make sure I have food in my stomach. It's kinda scary though.

Hi Ladies,

I am about 5 weeks. Just had a pretty sick 5th week with 24/7 nausea, 100% food aversion and some vomiting. But a lot of the vomiting is a lot of dry gagging rather than food actually coming out. I woke up this morning though - the time when I feel the worst usually - and I'm not feeling that sick. This is making me nervous. Have others had this experience where the symptoms simply eased for a half day or days and then came right back?

Hi, ladies. I posted on here, miserable, on the 3rd of July. I have had morning sickness since week 5, but right now at week 14 1/2 I am happy to say that I think it is getting better...not gone, but better which I will gladly accept! I still have aversions to certain smells and foods, but I finally have a larger selection of food that I CAN eat from, and I have gained back the weight that I lost at my first 2 doctor visits. One thing I found that has helped me out during the last two weeks: I get up at 5:30 in the morning and have a bowl of cereal, then go back to bed. I may fall asleep for an hour or just lie there, but it has kept me from what was nearly a daily vomiting occurrence. If you can keep cereal down, try it! Any kind...I tried to eat plain Cheerios first and that was all I could keep down, but since then I seriously have 10 kinds of cereal in my cabinet that I alternate everyday. I try to stick with low sugar and high protein, but even Crunchberries have 100% folic acid in a serving, so occasionally I splurge!

My new problem is headaches. Severe headaches. I got migraines before, and Tylenol is like eating sweettarts for all the good it does me. The doctor said my blood pressure is fine and to try acupuncture. .....I'm not sure about that, although I have heard it helps many things, such as morning sickness, back pain, headaches, etc.

If this helps anybody, that's all I hope for today. I was sooooo miserable for so long, and hated everyone who was pregnant and saying, "Oh, it's such a fabulous time, I feel great!" or "I knew someone who was sick for the ENTIRE time of their pregnancy!" Don't tell a miserable pregnant woman that!!! I may not be over the MS hill, but I have hopefully reached the top and started coming back down, and just keep hope ladies that you will, too!

I am 9 wks and 2 days along. This is my second pregnancy and my second battle with morning sickness. I understand your pain. I am stuck home all day everyday because I have no energy. The zofran has stopped working after only 8 days of taking it. I've lost my job and about 6 pounds so far. Smell has by far been the worst for me. It's even hard for me to shower because I can't stand the smell of my hair when its wet. My son is 5 years old and he is my hope for brighter days. I look at him and it reminds me that I will get through this. I really miss being my normal self.
