Hey! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I lost my dad in 2006 and know exactly how rough these emotions can be. I glad for you that you have a wonderful baby on the way that will help his legacy continue and to bring you joy in the upcoming months. I'm praying our baby has some of my dad's wonderful qualities...and for the ms to go away for us all!

hi, Daddy's Angel. i just wanted to encourage you after reading your story. i am 7 weeks pregnant. we decided to try after my dad was diagnosed stage 4 cancer and given less than 1% chance to live past 6 months. it was extremely difficult for our entire family (still is). my husband and i got off birth control the same month the doctors were making a "last ditch effort" to basically cut out all the cancer and the organs it had spread to. we were not given much encouragement. the surgery was very painful and my dad was in the hospital for weeks. however, we found out in december that the doctors did have good margin on all the organs and tissues that had been removed. my dad has started the process of healing and we found out we are pregnant about a month after the good news about the cancer. he has to be scanned every 3 months but we are fairly certain he will get to share in the joy of this new little life. i am eternally grateful for getting this gift of extra time, even if it is just a year, so that my dad can be here to meet his first grandchild. he will pass away some day, the cancer will more than likely show up again; but having been so close to losing him and having been given such little hope, each day and event he is still here for is precious. he was so excited and happy to hear he would be a grandfather that it made us feel okay to be happy, too. i'm sure your dad feels the same way. hope your morning sickness gets better. i've been hit hard this week and am hoping the time goes by faster. it at least has given me an appreciation for how my dad has felt after each of his treatments. anyway, hope you find our story encouraging.
